DripplesDripples (drops n' ripples) attempts to invite a relook at our current definitions, at what we know and don't know, of our selves, at health and of life itself, and perhaps have a perspective that is new.

The following are a few poems that never cease to console me when I am down, remind me of who I am and put me back on my purpose that I have deemed as being worthy of my existence at this point in time on Planet Earth. Read through and see if they do something to you. Desiderata ~ Max Ehrmann Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. If ~ Rudyard Kipling If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you But make allowance for their doubting too, If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream-and not make dreams your master, If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on! ' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much, If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And-which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! Brahma
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson If the red slayer think he slays, Or if the slain think he is slain, They know not well the subtle ways I keep, and pass, and turn again. Far or forgot to me is near; Shadow and sunlight are the same; The vanished gods to me appear; And one to me are shame and fame. They reckon ill who leave me out; When me they fly, I am the wings; I am the doubter and the doubt, And I the hymn the Brahmin sings. The strong gods pine for my abode, And pine in vain the sacred Seven; But thou, meek lover of the good! Find me, and turn thy back on heaven.

Every problem has a solution. The question is do you care enough to arrive at the solution? Can you persevere long enough until you come to savoring the sweet fruit of labor? Relationships. We have a relationship with every person we encounter - 'mom' 'dad' 'sister' 'friend' are words that label a relationship we share with a person. We also have a relationship with animals, some of whom (yes, animals are sentient beings and as much deserve to be referred to as 'whom' rather than with 'which' that seems more used for objects!) we relate to as pets and others we eat. We also have a relationship with inanimate things - 'my dear house' 'his/her rotten property' 'my awesome/wretched phone.' In the adjectives we use is revealed the nature of 'love' we have with someone/something that is other than us. Examine the language you use and you will find the key to your freedom.
Do read through the article below and examine the kind of love (hate is also a form of love; every relationship is a form of love) you have with everything that is other than 'I'. The word "You" here means anything and everything that is other than "I." By the way, you also have a relationship with your own self. Maybe you could also examine how 'you love you?' This is an audio from Body Intelligence Training by Ged Sumner.
This song could be one of the advertisements for the work I do. Consider the singer's words to be my words to you. If anything about this song resonates with you, give me a call or message me on the Contact page and we will take it from there. Bitha. "When people start stopping, that's when they start getting old."
The button below will lead you to the related video. Enjoy! My name is Bitha. I had to look up the meaning of my name since it turns out to be an 'unusual' name in my part of the globe. It turns out that Bitha in Hebrew means tranquility, in Bengali means seed, Bitha would be derived from Vitta in Sanskrit which means money, and my Dad says it means treasure!
I try to live up to my name. Do you know the meaning and origins of your name? Maybe you should look up. You may be pleasantly surprised. We have in some ways desensitized our ability to feel and that only translates further in our inability to empathize, which is why there is so much suffering happening in the world and the war/accident reports in newspapers are now strategized/recommended to be not read but to instead move to sports and other better news so you can feel healthy, and maybe in time would feel healthy enough to then be able to look at the accident and war pages. I do not know if the latter has been in the agenda but there does seem to be reasons for not looking at suffering, perhaps a continuation of a trend of not looking at your own suffering but rather to only be in the good places. The suffering is calling out for attention. If you dont listen to it, it will have to scream it out so it gets some attention; if that does not work, violence is resorted to so it gets some attention or it will HAVE your attention. The extremists, I think, are doing just that. Pay attention to the avoided parts of yourself. It is easier when it is seeking attention than when it forces you to pay attention. A little care does go a long way. Literally.

AuthorMy name is Bitha Sadanandan. I am a person behind MITI World but this blog is my 'look what I found' pin-up kind of wall developed for a purpose mentioned in the Blog Header. Some things just need to be said, even if an idea only you are crazy enough to have! {Volcanoes are the reason why I voice my thoughts here; a healthy steam-engine keeps the environment life-sustainable.} Categories
